Foundation Scholarship:
 

 

The Lancaster Foundation would like to make a scholarship possible through charitable gifts from our Lancaster family. The Lancaster Scholarships, through contributions will help provide educational assistants for family members who aspire to obtain higher education via at of colleges, universities, and /or other educational institutions such trade schools, nursing schools etc. Theses scholarships will provide economic empowerment to uplift our future generation. “The number of scholarships dependent will be determine by the amount donate If we collect 1000 we may provide two 500 dollars scholarships”
 
 
Scholarship Application Criteria:
 
  • Must be any family member trying to complete undergraduate or graduate studies, or other educational desires/studies
  • Must provide proof of enrollment at a post-secondary college or institution or other educational
  • Must have a minimum scholastic average of “C” (2.5) GPA
 
Scholarship Evaluation Factors:
 
  • One page essay on why you consider higher education to be important to you
  • Academic Record “ Grades over the last two years”
  • Community Services precipitation
  • Employment History “ over the last two years”
 
The application will need to be turned in to the Lancaster Family Foundation no later than May 15, 2014. The Scholarship will be awarded at the Lancaster 2013/2014 family reunion in Long Beach, California. We will have an outside of the family qualified collection group to determine the scholarship recipient. “To be determining”.

Ruben and Maryann Lancaster Scholarship

 

 

 

Purpose:
 
The scholarship award was created to ensure the continuation of the Lancaster family tradition of becoming well rounded educated contributors to the community in which we live. The Scholarship is made possible through charitable gifts from members of the Lancaster Family. We are attempting to empower our family members through assistance with their continued education. The scholarship fund provides financial awards to the Lancaster family members that are entering any academic, post secondary institution.

The application is two pages (includes the essay page) be sure to include required materials and fill out all sections of the application.

  • Three Letters of Recommendation (three may include teacher, counselor, etc.)

  3. *Example: Should start with my name is Tonia Cousett and I am the daughter of Barbara June Arrington Mickens, Granddaughter of Eulette Joiner Arrington, Great Granddaughter of Ada Lancaster Joiner. Ada was the daughter of Ruben Lancaster.
